Tony Ciccone, Board Certified Attorney in Construction Law in Texas – Fewer Than 20 Austin Lawyers Hold the Qualification

January 22, 2018

AUSTIN, January 22, 2018 – Tony Ciccone earned a unique distinction among Austin area attorneys. He is now Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in the field of Construction Law. Fewer than 20 Austin lawyers are Board Certified in Construction.

Being board certified is the highest level of certification an attorney can receive in a specific legal practice area, and exhibits experience and advanced expertise. To earn the certification, a lawyer must first qualify by demonstrating a history of substantial practice in the area of Construction Law. After qualifying, a lawyer must self-study volumes of materials, statutes, and laws. Then, they must take a complex day-long examination, which is similar to retaking the bar exam, except it is focused on a specific area of law.

“It’s all about being better and providing the best results for clients,” says Tony Ciccone, construction law attorney and partner at KCB Law Firm. “KCB has a diverse array of clients with a variety of needs. Becoming Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in the field of Construction Law reflects our firm’s commitment to quality representation and dependable results.”

Tony Ciccone has provided legal services in Central Texas since 2003, representing small business owners, general contractors, homeowners, and project owners in both litigation and day-to-day legal issues. He is a proud member of the 2012 Austin Essentials Leadership class and was invited to become a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, an honor which is extended to only the top one-third of one percent of Texas attorneys each year. In 2017, Tony was selected as a Texas Super Lawyer, Thomson Reuters, as published in Super Lawyers Magazine and Texas Monthly Magazine. Since 2014, he has also maintained the distinction as an AVVO Superb Rated Attorney. A talented public speaker, he has spoken on topics such as tips to avoiding malpractice in construction law, pitfalls in green construction, and project risk management.

KCB’s legal team has extensive experience litigating and negotiating issues in all civil law matters in Austin and throughout Central Texas, including construction, business, real estate, estate planning and probate, arbitration, and mediation.
