AUSTIN, Texas – Bollier Ciccone LLP encourages Central Texas residents and businesses to join them in donating to local nonprofits. Many organizations are experiencing increased demand and reduced donations due to the pandemic, making it harder to serve constituents in need. We recommend the following charities, supported by Bollier Ciccone LLP, including links and ways you can help.

Thirty Days of Giving

The first ever Thirty Days of Giving supports Austin Texas Musicians. The music scene and its artists have suffered greatly as a result of the ongoing pandemic. Thirty Days of Giving is highlighted by 30 days of live music, broadcast in a safe manner. The goal is to employ local musicians, draw attention to local venues, and raise $100,000 to support Austin Texas Musicians.

How to help: Watch bands and make donations! All musical acts will be live broadcast on Facebook and YouTube. The live music schedule and donation link are here:

Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas – 2020 Chili Cookoff

The annual chili cookoff is an important fundraiser for Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas, but it did not take place due to Covid. However, the legal needs of underserved communities have not slowed and donations are in high demand. VLS clients can’t afford the help they need, including matters like divorce, child custody, consumer fraud, and housing. Every year, the organization successfully advises or litigates thousands of local cases, donates millions of dollars in legal services, and drives more than 10,000 volunteer hours.

Foster Village

Being a foster parent is very difficult. Foster Village says most families foster for less than a year, saying they stop because it’s exhausting and they don’t get enough support. Meanwhile, 85 percent of people who are not foster parents say they care about vulnerable children and want to help. Foster Village bridges the gap between foster families and those who want to help by providing services to support caregivers, connect families, and advocate policy changes.

 Save An Angel

Save An Angel’s goal is to create no-kill communities by providing people with the resources needed to be responsible pet parents. The organization started as a fundraiser to provide an expensive, life-saving bone marrow transplant for the founders’ dog, Angel, who was diagnosed with canine lymphoma. Save An Angel is now primarily dedicated to rehoming shelter pets through Operation Relocation with a network of cross-country shelter and rescue partners.
