AUSTIN, Texas – KCB Law Firm civil attorney Rekha Roarty is featured on the front page of the current edition of Capitalines Magazine, a Junior League of Austin news publication. The article is titled It Takes All of Us: Inside JLA’s Diversity & Inclusion Initiative. Roarty, a League member, encourages other minority women to get involved in the community so they can “share in the giving experience.”

The Junior League of Austin is a nonprofit committed to developing the potential of women, and improving the community through leadership and trained volunteers. JLA’s current leadership team recently started a formal Diversity & Inclusion committee focused on communications, internal events, and recruitment.

“It’s important for me to continue my family’s tradition of involvement in the Austin community,” says KCB Law Firm civil attorney, Rekha Roarty. “The League provides important services throughout Austin –that’s why its membership should reflect the diverse makeup of the Austin community. I believe Austin’s diversity is one of the main great qualities the city has to offer and would love for more women who share my heritage to be involved in the League’s efforts to make a positive impact on the community.”

The Junior League says its D & I efforts are already producing results. As a result, the committee was renewed for another year. KCB Law Firm donates funds and volunteer time to support JLA’s charitable activities throughout the Austin area.
