Elizabeth J. Ayala is an exceptional family law attorney, specializing in complex custody cases, protective orders, and cases involving mental health experts. She is a skilled litigator and experienced client advocate involved in all aspects of client cases including the initial consultation, developing case strategy, and conducting a trial in court when an advantageous settlement cannot be reached. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, Elizabeth moved to Austin to attend St. Edward’s University. While at St. Edward’s, Elizabeth interned for Loveisrespect, the National Teen Dating Abuse Helpline. After graduating magna cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology, Elizabeth attended the University of Texas School of Law. Throughout her time at Texas Law, Elizabeth worked part-time as a Law Clerk for a family law firm in the Austin area and represented clients using her temporary trial card under supervision. Additionally, Elizabeth served as a Student Attorney for the University of Texas School of Law Domestic Violence Clinic, a Student Attorney for the Advanced Domestic Violence Clinic, and a Research Assistant for Professor Jeana Lungwitz in producing the annual update of Title 4 of the Texas Family Code, specifically addressing family violence protective orders.
Originally intending to pursue a career as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Elizabeth brings a unique and empathetic perspective to all of her cases that allows her to creatively address each case.
She has been a practicing attorney in Central Texas courtrooms since 2016.
